Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to all Fog & Fix Ltd. locations and service areas. By requesting or accepting services you agree to these terms.
Booking and Intellectual Property
Booking confirmation
- A booking is confirmed only after Fog & Fix Ltd. reviews your request and sends a confirmation. Submitting a web form, email, voicemail, or message does not guarantee an appointment.
- Appointment windows account for travel, weather, and job complexity; Fog & Fix Ltd. will notify you of delays when possible.
- Fog & Fix Ltd. may reschedule for safety, weather, or emergencies and will offer the next available time.
Intellectual property
- Fog & Fix Ltd. owns the website content, business name, logo, brand elements, images, graphics, and written materials.
- No content may be copied, reproduced, or used without written permission. Client project photos may be used for documentation or portfolio purposes only with client consent.
Pricing, Estimates, and Acceptance
Reference pricing and estimates
- Website prices are for guidance only; final pricing is confirmed by estimate or invoice.
- Estimates reflect expected costs based on available information and are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
- Work will not begin until the client accepts the estimate in writing by email, text, or signed document.
Scope changes
- Any change to scope will be quoted and must be approved before additional work proceeds. Additional labor and materials will be added to the final invoice.
Invoicing and Payment
Payment terms
- Payment is due immediately upon completion of the job unless otherwise agreed in writing. An itemized invoice will be provided showing labor, materials, and taxes.
Deposits and methods
- Larger fabrication or multi‑day projects may require a deposit to secure materials and scheduling; deposits are non‑refundable once materials are purchased.
- Accepted payment methods: E‑transfer, credit/debit, cash. Card payments are processed by third‑party processors; Fog & Fix Ltd. does not store full card numbers.
Late payments
- Invoices unpaid after 14 days may incur a late fee. Continued non‑payment may result in service suspension and collection actions.
Contracts Scope Safety and Liability
Scope and timing
- Fog & Fix will perform the services described in the signed contract or accepted estimate and complete work within a reasonable time frame based on complexity, materials, and weather.
Materials and client responsibilities
- Fog & Fix Ltd. can supply materials or install client‑supplied parts; no warranty is offered on client‑supplied materials.
- Clients must provide safe, unobstructed access, secure pets and personal items, and disclose known site conditions.
Safety and licensed trades
- Fog & Fix follows Newfoundland and Labrador OHS guidelines and will not proceed in unsafe conditions. Tasks requiring licensed trades (major electrical, major plumbing, gas, HVAC) are outside Fog & Fix scope; referrals or coordination can be provided.
Insurance and liability
- Fog & Fix Ltd. carries general liability insurance appropriate for small repairs and fabrication; proof is available on request. Fog & Fix Ltd. is not responsible for pre‑existing damage, hidden defects discovered during work, or failures caused by unrelated conditions. Liability is limited to the value of the contracted work except where law requires otherwise.
Cancellations
- Clients must provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Same‑day cancellations may incur a service call fee. Fog & Fix Ltd. may reschedule due to safety, weather, or emergencies.
Warranties Estimates and Disputes
Workmanship assurance
- Fog & Fix Ltd. provides a 90‑day workmanship assurance covering issues caused by installation or craftsmanship. This does not cover normal wear, misuse, environmental damage, or client‑supplied materials.
Estimate validity and disputes
- Estimates are valid for 30 days. Raise disputes within 7 days of job completion; Fog & Fix Ltd. will assess and, if needed, schedule a follow‑up visit. Workmanship concerns are handled under the 90‑day assurance.
Privacy Communications and General Provisions
Privacy and data use
- Fog & Fix Ltd. collects only the information necessary to schedule appointments, provide estimates, and deliver services (contact details, service address, job details, photos, invoices, payment confirmations, and communications). Personal information is not sold and is shared only with service providers, subcontractors, or authorities when required. Reasonable technical and organizational measures protect data. Service records and invoices are retained for tax and warranty purposes.
SMS and messaging
- If you provide your phone number or opt in, you may receive appointment confirmations, reminders, job updates, arrival notifications, invoices, and occasional promotions. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out of marketing and non‑transactional messages; reply HELP for assistance. Transactional messages necessary to complete a service may still be sent by other channels.
Governing law and amendments
- These terms are governed by the laws of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Fog & Fix Ltd. may update these terms; the effective date will reflect the latest revision and material changes will be posted on the website.
